Signature Verification and Forgery Detection Hardware Design Employing Fuzzy Inference System

چکیده

This paper describes the modeling of a signature verification and forgery detection system that allows for efficient hardware implementation. The system follows five steps to perform the signature verification which are data acquisition, preprocessing, comparison process and decision process. Fuzzy inference system is used as the core decision maker for verifying the signature. The design is followed by the timing analysis for the validation, functionality and performance of the model using Aldec Active HDL. It is proven that the model has been tested successfully. Both matched and forged signature had been identified with 97.9% accuracy from numerous tests at the system clock of 3.33 MHz.
